What Is Betahistine?

Betahistine is a histamine analog with activity at histamine receptors. It is used in many countries for the management of symptoms associated with Ménière’s disease.

Ménière’s disease can cause symptoms including:

• Recurrent episodes of vertigo
• Tinnitus
• Hearing difficulties
• Nausea associated with vertigo

Your healthcare provider will determine whether betahistine is appropriate for you and prescribe the appropriate strength, dose, and duration of therapy.
